Newtown Christmas Parade 2024. Sweet and savory treats and select local stores will be open for holiday shopping. Parades, tree lightings, more a big weekend is planned in newtown beginning with a tree lighting and culminating in a festival.
The original open house tour was sponsored by the newtown civic and historic association and was called “christmas in colonial newtown.” it was held on saturday december 14, 1963 from 1 to 4 p.m. From the joyful melodies of festive bands to the jolly greetings from santa claus, the newtown holiday parade embodies the spirit of community and the joy of the season.
